I’m back blogging to let y’all know that the hard work during this past month and all of the off-season training has paid off because I have officially made the 2012 Saskatchewan Roughriders!!! There is no better feeling to achieve the dreams and goals that have been pushing you to your absolute limits. My first CFL game is today at 5:00 pm... [Keep Reading]

Back To The Green & White

Roughriders Training Camp

It’s been almost half a year since I last played football and around 9 months since I played as a Rider. Many hours during the off-season have been dedicated to this journey I am about to embark on with the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Rookie Camp started May 30th and let me tell you, it feels great to be back out on the football field doing the thing I love most. I never would have thought that playing football could be a way of life for me but somehow someway I have been lucky enough to... [Keep Reading]

Spring Camps

Hey y’all…back again with another post about football haha. It’s spring training camp time for both the U of S Huskies and the Saskatoon Hilltops. Spring camps help to get a head start to the upcoming season and allow the coaches to evaluate their new recruits. I’m no longer participating in the two-a-day practices which I don’t miss but I will be out there trying to pass on my football knowledge and experiences at the Hilltops spring camp this weekend. Both camps... [Keep Reading]

Football For Everyone

Spring is in the air…for myself, that means I can finally partake in some outdoor activities. Spring is also the time where young kids can sign up for summer sports like soccer, baseball and of course my favorite...FOOTBALL! The number of kids that want to play football has increased dramatically since I was growing up. Saskatoon Minor Football has done an awesome job setting up different football leagues for all types of ages. Kids now have a choice to play tackle, flag or touch... [Keep Reading]

Spring Time Activities

Do you get 30 minutes of exercise a day? We’ll you should be aiming for at least 30 minutes of physical activity a day. Lucky you! I have a great way to burn some calories, be active and have some fun doing it. I’m talking about the lunch time drop-in at the Sasktel Soccer Centre. Monday to Friday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm you can pay a small fee of 4 dollars to use their indoor turf fields. Bring some friends with you to play a game of touch football, shoot soccer balls, or even... [Keep Reading]

Three-peat

Dreams of a Natty

Can you say Three-peat? Well I sure hope you can because the Saskatoon Hilltops (also known as the “Hillies”) are on a journey to achieve three consecutive National Championships! I’ve been privileged enough to be a part of the 2010 Champs when we won it right here in Saskatoon and then again in Hamilton this past year. Unfortunately my days with the Hilltops are over but after five incredible seasons it’s time to pass the torch to the younger players stepping up to fill... [Keep Reading]

Top 3 Burgers

This post is for all my fellow meat lovers. Now I’m not saying that salads and veggie plates aren’t delicious and healthy for you, but when it comes to eating a meal that is going to fill you up and take care of that empty stomach absolutely nothing beats a burger. There’s just something about getting a bunch of friends together and having a few bevies and enjoying some delicious burgers hot off the BBQ that hits the spot for this guy. But for us that live in Saskatoon where... [Keep Reading]

An Introduction

Hey Y’all, Graig Newman here! Pleased to be bringing you the first official blog I’ve ever posted…via Chad Reynolds and Spareparts. Currently I’m finishing up my last semester of Chemical Engineering at the U of S. Let me tell you, it’s been a grind for the past 5 years but I’m super pumped to finally become an Engineer and have all... [Keep Reading]
